Domaine Barville is the family estate of Laurent Brotte. The 15 hectare vineyard is located on the west side of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape and consists of 7 parcels spread over the two best areas of the appellation - "Pradel" and "Beaurenard". The average age of vines is 35 years, in combination with the microclimate provided by the Rhône River and the blowing "mistrale" and the green harvest consists of the quality of the grapes used. The Syrah and Mourvèdre varieties are aged in French oak barrels, while the softer Grenache is aged in concrete vats and 100-year-old oak vats to preserve fruity. Bottling takes place in March, after more than a year of aging and light filtering.
A powerfully built wine with a strong ruby color with purple reflections and strong tannins. A typical nose for terroir with spices, black pepper, lavender, black cherries and blackberries. The taste is elegant and strong, with a characteristic velvety palate with red fruits. Especially recommended for red meat, lamb and venison.
