Aglianico is widely regarded as one of the noblest strains of red grape varieties and is associated with the southern regions of Italy, such as Campania and Basilicata. The strain matures very late, which limits the possibility of growing it in regions located further north. For several years, successfully grown also in Australia and California. Vesevo Aglianico is made exclusively from the Aglianico strain. After the harvest, the grapes are stalked and gently pressed in the press. Maceration and fermentation takes place in steel vats for 10-15 days. Then the wine is aged in oak barrels for 8 months.
This dark red wine full of purple reflections is complex and intense, both in the nose and in the mouth are the strong notes of red fruit, spices and vanilla. Tannins are delicate, but clearly marked, and the finish is long and dry.
It goes well with grilled dishes, goulash, venison, roasted duck, and expressive cheeses.
The producer of this wine is a renowned world-famous company - Farnese Vini - which for three years in a row was recognized as the best Italian wine producer.
