Bodega Flechas de los Andes was born from the relationship between Baron Benjamin de Rothschild and Laurent Dassault, who sought the perfect "terroir" in the region of Mendoza, in western Argentina. The name "Flechas de los Andes" refers to 5 arrows, the symbol of the Rothschild family.
The vineyard is located at an altitude of 1100 m above sea level, at the foot of the Andes, in the land of stones and gravel, with a continental climate. This landscape is ideal for expressing the Malbec grape variety. This strain is extremely adapted to this semi-arid climate, soils poor in organic ingredients and, like in New Zealand, to warm, sunny days and cold nights. The influx of cold air at night maintains high acidity, making it ideal for aging and brings great wine complexity. Gran Malbec is aged in an oak barrel for 14 months.
Rich and deep wine with a very dark color, falling into violet. Flechas Gran Malbec opens the combination of blackcurrant, plum and currant flavors with a hint of vanilla. Next is particularly full and round, dense with smooth tannins. Perfect for meat dishes, cheeses and desserts.
