In 1997, the Tommasi family bought a property in Pitgliano, giving rise to the "Tuscany" project: POGGIO AL TUFO. Pitigliano Estate extends over 66 hectares of vineyards grown on volcanic soil. A few years later, the project was extended to the acquisition of Doganella Estate, 24 hectares entirely dedicated to the organic vine collection, and Scansano Estate, 80 hectares in the heart of the Morellino DOC zone.
Wines from Poggio al Tufo are high quality products that refer to the great classics of original products, such as this Toscana Alicante IGT. A particular vine, in which the fruity impressions are carried out both on the nose and in the mouth. The grapes are carefully selected so that they represent only the best of their original terroir, slowly ripen for a year in oak barrels before they are bottled.
