Dabouki is an ancient strain grown, among others, in Israel. It is even believed that this may be the oldest strain grown in this region. In addition, there are voices that Jesus actually knew the wine made from this strain.
The strain is most often used for the production of daily wines and as a base for a local distillate known as Arak. He can, however, give interesting results if you pay more attention to him. It is rewarded with wines curiously telling about their terroir, full of aromas of ripe fruit (melon), flowers, varied by distinctive mineral notes.
In Inspire Famitage, Dabouki performs in a coupage with Sauvignon Blanc and Gewurztriner. Dabouki is a base in this wine, which is why we find in it all the aforementioned features, Sauvignon Blanc adds freshness, Gewurztraminer in turn adds its characteristic notes to the bouquet. The whole comes from the renowned vineyard Teperberg, the oldest family producer in Israel.
