The name "Vigne de l'Enfant Jesus" refers to old history. It is said that Margaret of the Blessed Sacrament, Carmelite woman from Beaune (1619-1648) and the founder of the convent "Domestiques de la famille du Saint Enfant Jesus", predicted the birth of the king of France, Louis XIV. On the day of the birth of the future "King of the Sun", this very unique vineyard, which belonged to the monastery, adopted the name "Vigne de L'Enfant Jesus". In 1791, when the entire national estate was sold, Bouchard Pere et Fils bought 10 hectares plots, located in the heart of Beaune Greves.
This dark-black wine was created exclusively from the Pinot Noir strain, the grapes of which were hand picked and carefully selected. Decayed from 12 to 14 months in French oak. It is distinguished by wonderful aromas of fruit and spices with oak accents. Intense, full and at the same time very delicate on the palate, with a pleasant velvet and a long end full of flavors of cherries, spices and herbs. It has very good aging potential. Recommended for cheese and bird dishes.
