Chianti is one of the most recognizable Italian wines in the world and the trademark of Tuscany. The Sangiovese strain is always used for the production of Chianti, but other varieties of grapes have been added since 1996. Most often these are international varieties - such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It is important that Sangiovese must be in the vast majority - an acceptable, minimum level of this strain is 80%.
Vernaiolo is one of the first wines produced by the Zingarelli family. Its name derives from the Latin vernale, meaning spring, indicating the period in the year in which the Chianti is bottled. Ripe red fruit in the nose. Fresh, balanced in the mouth. Wine for everyday drinking, ideal for meats and pastes.
