The name of the wine refers to the estate "Conterno", which belongs to the brothers Claudio Conterno and Guido Fantino. At the moment the vinification is taken over by Guido's son, Fabio, one of the leading figures of the modernist trend in Barolo. From 24 hectares of vineyards, there are 25 thousand. Barolo bottles and large quantities of lighter wines, of which 50% of sales goes to the USA. The style of produced wines is therefore clearly defined, because almost all wines go into barrels, which makes them concentrated, full of flavor and very fruity.
Barolo Vigna del Gris has a grainy, red color with an orange reflection. A distinctive bouquet, delicate, elegant and ethereal. Red fruits and spices dominate. Full, solid, velvety, raw and well proportioned flavor. Wine will be a great addition to roasts and stewed meat. We recommend cold meats, truffles and cheeses.
