This wine is dedicated to the novel spirit and vision of count Alberto Marone Cinzano, who planted Cabernet Sauvignon in the early 1980s on the Montalcino hills. Olamia is a pure expression of the most famous grape variety in the world, perfectly located in the climate of Siena. In the glass you will find all the intensity of the dry and hot Mediterranean summer, and if you close your eyes, you can even hear crickets singing in the background.
Manual harvesting, after choosing the perfect maturity of these small fruits, allowed for a rigorous selection of the best grapes. The wine was 18 months in French and American oak barrels, and then in a bottle for the next 8 months.
Olmaia has a beautiful, deep, ruby-red color with shiny purple reflections. An elegant bouquet with the typical notes of Cabernet Sauvignon ripe pepper perfectly balanced with spicy notes of oak and vanilla. Excellent structure, ripe tannins in combination with classic aromas derived from oak. A fresh, pleasant fruity aftertaste.
