Rimapere is the result of collaboration between the families of Baron Benjamin de Rothschild and Peabody, the latter being the owners of Craggy Range Winery in New Zealand. Rimapere in Maori means five arrows and refers strictly to the symbol of the Rothschild family. In this case five shots symbolize five brothers - five sons of Mayer Amschel Rothschild, who created the foundations of this dynasty. The vineyard in which this wine is made is located on the prestigious Rapaura Road, in the southern part of Marlborough and Wairau Valley. This region produces the best wines in the country and is the birthplace of one of the best Sauvignon Blanc wines in the world and certainly one of the most refined and expressive wines.
The temperate climate of this region, cool nights alternated with sunny days, causes the grapes ripen long and slowly, thanks to which they have high acidity. Numerous watercourses in the vicinity testify to the presence of deep layers of stones that support the natural drainage of the vines. On such a "terroir" worthy of the best Bordeaux wines, Sauvignon Blanc takes over all its rich aromas, subtle bouquet of grapefruit and passion fruit, high minerality. Rimapere is a delicate, pale yellow color wine. The wine reveals a distinctive, intense bouquet, from which emanates a huge palette of aromas, ranging from a rich range of notes of citrus fruits, lemon and grapefruit, combined with harmonious minerality. On the palate the wine is distinguished by its impressive freshness and acidity, aromas of the citrus fruits develop from the aromas that persist in the finish. Serving temperature 12-14 ° C. It goes well with fish dishes, white meat, antipasti and asparagus.
