The white grape variety Ugni Blanc, one of the two used for the production of this wine, comes from the department of Charente in southwestern France, which, apart from the remaining 82, was created during the French Revolution in 1790. Grapes of this variety, grown in French vineyards, usually constitute a coupage with other strains and are used for the production of sparkling wines and cognacs and armagnacs. Light and ethereal sparkling wine produced from white grape varieties with notes of apple and pear. Recommended for aperitifs and for desserts with white fruit.
