Tommasi's passion for wine and the desire to discover and choose the best Italian vineyards, took them to Puglia. About 80 hectares of land were purchased in Manduria, in the region of Salento, one of the best grape growing areas of Primitivo, where the viticulture has an extremely ancient origin, dating back to the times of Magna Graecia.
The property, which lies about 6 km from the Ionian coast, also includes a manor house called "Masseria" from the early 20th century, which currently has a 700 sq m wine cellar. along with vinification and maturing.
Arthemis Fiano comes from the goddess of the moon; all names Masseria Surani come from the Greek gods to pay tribute to the area in Apulia where the wine cellar is located. In accordance with the tribute to the local land, the wine production process is non-invasive and allows you to x-ray the characteristic features of the local terroir. The resulting wine is aromatic, marked with notes of white flowers, tangerine and lime. The highest-quality fruit needed to produce this wine is obtained by strictly selecting clones, modern vine training systems and strong trimming, to produce a small quantity of high-quality wines with respect for terroir and tradition. The wine is mainly Fiano grapes, supplemented with 10% Chardonnay. It is aromatic, floral, full of flavors of tangerine and lime, with a ripe and juicy finish.
