Mendoza, one of the most important wine-growing and winemaking regions in Argentina, supplies four of every five bottles of wine produced in the country. Despite such a large production, it is in this region that the most important, the best known and the highest-quality Argentinian wines are produced. One of the highest vineyards in this country are those located in the Uco Valley - the southern part of Mendoza - located at an altitude of 1050 to 1700 m above sea level.
The wine is produced by one of the most renowned and world-famous Argentine wine companies - Bodegas Salentein - founded in the 1990s by Dutchman Mijndert Pon.
Wine with smooth tannins, slightly spicy spices in the mouth, ripe cherries and blueberry will be an excellent companion for steaks, ducks, semi-hard cheeses.
