Tempranillo is the most famous wine variety in Spain. It is grown in every region and almost every time it is called differently. For example, in Ribera del Duero known as Tinta del Pais, in Valdepenas as Cencibel, and in Catalonia Ull de Liebre. Early budding of this variety makes it very difficult to grow due to the high sensitivity to frosts and a thin skin that easily succumbs to mold.
