Product Details

Nebbiolo is considered one of the noblest varieties of grapes, giving dark, cheap, rich in alcohol and long-lived wines valued by collectors. No other strain rewards so generously the patience of wine in the basement when it matures, as it can develop even for decades. In their youth, wines are extremely tan and with a lot of acid, over time they reveal all their extraordinary complexity. The fruity character of young wine is often dominated by usually long (at least 24-36 months) here 24 months, the period of maturation in oak barrels. Aromas typical of the strain include cherry, blackberry, chocolate, raisins, herbs, anise, licorice, truffles, earth. Aging in a barrel is responsible for the accents of vanilla, smoke and tar. Further aging in bottles adds skin, cedar and tobacco.
